Patterns for Theatrical Costumes (Holkeboer)

This book was originally published February 1993 by Drama Publishers. It was written with the intent to give the basic shape and pattern pieces of costumes. In this book, Holkeboer explains draping, fitting and three ways to scale patterns. This can be a valuable resource for costumers. It covers a wide range of eras.

Tonia’s PTC review: Angie and I discovered this book at the public library in 1998. As it covers just about every era, it was a wealth of information in those early days. We deemed this book “the costume bible”. To this day, we each have at least  copy in our homes.
