Sense and Sensibility was founded by Jennie Chancey in 1996. Jennie started off by sewing costumes for customers. In 1997, she launched a website, and in 1998, she began selling a few patterns. Eventually, she stopped sewing as her family grew, and took some time to develop a line of patterns to sell. Today, she sells over 20 patterns.
Tonia’s S&S review: These patterns are drafted well, and go together easily. She does offer advise on how to stitch the garments using historical methods. Her patterns do come in all sizes, and she offers patterns from several eras, from the late 1700′s up to the 1940′s. I do look forward to expanding my collection of her patterns.
