While this is not a historically accurate pattern, it is pretty and very easy to use, and minor adjustments are needed. The area of issue for me is in the arm-pit – it needs to be enlarged by about 1-2 inches for a proper and comfortable fit (no need to adjust the sleeve, here, to make up for the added width of the arm hole – there is more than enough sleeve to compensate for the added inch or three), but this is very minor and can be done with ease. It is very important when making this gown that you determine your pattern size based on your bust measurement (here the pattern is very accurate). If you happen to be a lady who is pear-shaped (smaller bust, bigger bottom), you only need to add width to the skirt. If you are apple-shaped (larger bust, smaller bottom) the skirt will not need to be adjusted for width. Please take note: when I worked this pattern, I only used the bodice and sleeve of the pattern, I ditched the zipper for eye-hooks, constructed my own decorative placket, and left off the neck ruffling.
