Halter option

Aside from being a very easy pattern to construct, Vogue patterns in general are well drafted and come together beautifully – this pattern is no exception. I constructed the halter-top option from an airy floral chiffon. It’s a loose-fitting top, as are the two peasant shirt options included in the pattern. Note that the armholes rest quite low (under the bra line) – another garment, such as a bandeau or tube top in a complimentary color, will have to be worn under the halter. Of course, there is the option of shortening the armholes, which can be done with ease. I chose to construct the pattern as is – I like layering garments and playing with texture. Lengthened just below the hip, this halter pattern would make a darling little beach dress to wear over a bathing suit!
